New makeup and review

I haven't been writing on here at all for a while just been busy with life i guess.
Well I have been accumulating a lot of makeup products. Some of are really great and other not so great.
I want to start with some foundations.

1) Covergirl Clean Whipped Creame foundation:

This foundation is really great. It blends nice and evenly and leaves my skin looking soft and matte. It does not make me more oily then i usually am so its good for moderate oily skin and dry skin.  I would say its a light coverage foundation. It does not oxidize at all like some covergirl foundations do sometimes. It was also very affordable. I trully recommend this one. It also smells really nice kind of like almonds.

2) Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation:
I have used this foundation a couple of times and i like it but its not my favorite. The coverage is medium to full coverage if you apply more then one coat. It covers skin imperfections very well and it blends out nicely. It does not control my oily skin though and i think it makes my skin a little more oily. The color blends out nicely with my skin tone. Although it not my favorite i do recommend it. Its better then other drugstore foundations.

3) Tarte Amazonia Clay Full Coverage Airbrush foundation:
I bought this foundation off the internet a couple of weeks ago. What i like the most from this foundation is that it is made out of clay and not synthetic ingredients which means it better for your skin. This foundation really does give your skin an airbrush look. It looks super natural and covers nicely. It does not make me super oily but it does not stop oil production. Since its a powder it does control the amount of oil my face produces. Coverage wise it is a light to medium coverage. I really like this foundation but i really recommend you buy in store because the shades on the website might be too far off from the actual color. Overall the foundation is amazing!! I really recommend it.

That is all I have for now about foundations. I will be posting a new blog about new eyeshadow palettes, eyeshadows, lip products, bronzers and blushes, so stay tuned for those.

A Sonia Kashuk palette and other beauty necessities

I know, I know I said i wouldn't buy more stuff but I really wanted to get this Instructional Eye Shadow Palette from Sonia Kashuk in the shade eye on neutral-02. I needed more oil blotting sheets also and some face wipes.

Sonia Kashuk- Instructional Eye Shadow Palette
Shade: eye on neutral-02

Price: $19.99
I was hoping to get this palette last week when we went to the target by our house but it was completely sold out. I checked the Target website all week to see if they had re-stoked but they hadn't. At the other Target by my house it had always been stocked, so yesterday we had to do some grocery shopping and I convince my husband to go the other target. Sure enough, it was there and it was the last one. I was so relieved that I got there in time and excited. I don't have any just-matte eyeshadow palettes. I do have a lot of eyeshadow palettes but most only have one or two matte shades and the rest are all shimmery. Needless to say i think this was a necessity in my makeup collection. I like the consistency of these eye shadows. They are very pigmented and creamy, so when you put your brush in it your going to pick up a lot of product. I love that it is a neutral palette because i mostly use neutral colors and i usually never go too crazy on my eyeshadow. It was $20 but i think that for the amount of eye shadows you get it makes sense. I cant wait to create a look with this later today.

Price: $3.00

I had never tried these wipes before yesterday but I am really impressed with e.l.f. for this. It completely took off my makeup and I only had to use one wipe. I usually need three with the Kirkland brand one and the Up brand from Target. I like that these are also much bigger and they have a pleasant scent. They don't leave my skin sticky yet it does feel moisturized. In the back in says that they are infused with aloe vera extract for moisturizing and that they are great for sensitive skin. After using these wipes your suppose to rinse your face with water. Which is a little strange because with other brands you don't have to do that. Other then that, they are pretty nice and cheap. There are 20 wipes in each pack and it's just $3, that's a pretty good deal. The Pond's brand I was going to buy was $4.69 for 30 wipes. I'm probably going to keep buying these.

Price: $1.00

The last beauty item I picked up was the e.l.f. Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets. I have really oily skin and ever since I got tan at the beach on Wednesday i have been producing more oil for some reason. Its so weird and disgusting. These sheets are amazing at absorbing the oil though. They contain green tea that according to the back helps re-texturize skin, masking facial imperfections. It mattifies shiny skin, it minimizes pores, and its woven texture eliminates shine and keeps skin-matte for hours. They are really great and for only $1 you get 50 little sheets.

Review L'oreal Youth Code BB Cream, L'oreal Magic LUMI Light Infusion Primer and Milani Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit

Prize: $16.99

So I have had a couple of days to try out the Youth Code BB cream by L'oreal and I gotta say I really like it. It has a lot more coverage then i expected and even though its very moisturizing its not oily or greasy like the Garnier BB cream is. My shade is medium, when I first apply it it looks lighter but after I blend it in my face it blends into my skin tone and it looks really nice. I usually just use the bb cream and I use a concealor on my trouble spots ie. my undereye circles, around my nose and on my pimples or acne marks, I use a little bit of setting powder as well. It gives you a very natural dewy look without showing your face imperfections or looking too oily. It is a great product for you on those days that you dont want to wear heavy foundation like on hot humid days or when your just lounging around the house or if you need go out to the super market or something. I would definetly recommend this bb creamn over garnier's bb cream if your having trouble deciding.

Prize: $12.95

The L'oreal Magic LUMI Primer is also a good product although its not as shimmery as I would like. I use this primer with my L'oreal bb cream and it does give a luminous glow but not enough for you to actually notice unless you really look hard. I usually just mix it together with the bb cream and apply it with my fingers all over my face. After that I just put a little bit more on my cheeks, forehead and chin for some extra glow. I think that if you want to use this just for highlighting purposes your better off with a highlighting powder or cream. If you just need a good primer then this is perfect for you.

Prize: $6.99

I love the Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit. I use the medium 02 shade and its actually really useful. It comes with a mini eyeshadow sponge, a mini brush, and a mini tweezer. This is perfect to take with you in your purse or if your traveling. It has everything you need to make sure your eyebrows stay looking defined and groomed. The powders are very pigmented, i use the dark brown shade on my dark brown eyebrows. The little brush is the perfect size to shape your brows. Overall, this is a good product and I really recommend it.

New Beauty Products

I have been dying to try the new BB creams that have just come out from Maybelline and L'oreal. Maybelline has one and L'oreal has two, one from their regular line and one from their youth code line. I have been trying to find these bb creams since i heard they were on sale but I couldn't find them anywhere by my house, not at the pharmacies or at target. Either they haven't stocked the shelves with them yet or they are sold out.

Prize: $17.79 at CVS

Today though, i finally found at least one and by accident. I went to CVS because i had a 30% off coupon. I had already looked for them where they would normally be but i didnt find them so i just got other things (will talk about those things later on). When i was on line ready to pay i saw that L'oreal had a display at the front of the store with all of their new products. The new youth code bb cream was there. They only had the fair, light and medium shades, so i got the medium shade it matches me well. What i noticed about the bb cream after rubbing some on on my arm was that it smeels exactly like the garnier bb cream. Its so strange and i wonder if they did that on purpose. It is also less greasy and oily and it has better coverage. It also has SPF 15. Its suppose to even out your skin tone, illuminate the face, perfect, moisturize and correct spots and discolorations on your face over time. Im going to be using it for awhile to see if this really works.

Prize: $12.99 at CVS

The second product I picked up was the L'oreal MAGIC LUMI light infusing primer. When it comes out of the bottle, the lotion is a shimmery white. Whne you apply i to your skin at first it looks like its a little shimmery but then it fades into kind of like a white cast on your skin. It doenst have enough "illuminating" powder for it to be noticible so I am hoping it at least works well as a primer. In the back of the bottle it says that it is suppose to enlighten you complexion because it has a light infusing primer (whatever that means...) Then it says that you cnaeither wer it under your foundation or mixed with it for a "soft light illusion". It also says you can highlight specific areas of  your face to create a sculpted affect, well we will see about that.

Prize: $7.99

The third product I got is the Milani Brow Fix brow kit in 02 brown. I saw that DulceCandy87 uses it and her eyebrows always look so nice and defined so I thought i should try it out. Its pretty nice, it comes with 2 eyebrow powders, one highlight powder, one mini tweezer, one mini sponge applicator and one mini brow brush. It really has everything you need to keep your brows nicely groomed.

Prize: $6.99

I also got some nail polish strips like the sally hansen one but much cheaper. They are by Kiss and htey have the prettiest little gems on them. I got them in the color gold and it says you cna use them on your toes too.

Prize: $10.49

The last product I got was a L'oreal Feria permanent hair dye box. I had already colored my hair dark brown with a non-permanent dye but the color was too dark on me and you could hardly tell the difference. So i decided to get a lighter shade of brown. It called deeply brown 40 natural. It says ont he box that you will get "multi-facited shimmering colour and 3X highlights, gentle, deep conditioning) We'll see how it turns out and if my husband notices because he never noticed the last one LOL!
So that is all I got for today. I am going to stop buying beauty stuff for a while now. I need to use up what i have. Even though that after buying all the L'oreal stuff I got $3 worth of extra bucks and I had a 30% off coupon so I saved $16.88 today, It all adds up in the end so I must STOP buying more stuff. On that note I say good bye. The only blogs I will be posting from now on will be on reviews and makeup looks.

Taupe and cranberry eyeshadow look with pink lips

Today i decided to use my new l'oreal eyeshadow duo in the color electrified. It has a really pretty and metallic taupe and a satin almost matte cranberry shade. This eyeshadow look is very simple. I applied mac's studio fix fluid in nc 44 and mac's mineralized skin finish natural in medium dark to set it. As a concealor and eyeshadow base I used kat von d's tattoo concealor in almond and mac's studio finish concealor in nw 25 on my under eye circles.

First i took some of the taupe shadow and applied it to 3/4 of my lid leaving my outer V free of shadow. Then i took some of the cranberry shade and applied that to my outer V and into my crease without going over the crease. I blended it well. Using a nude, beige or vanilla shade i applied it as a highlight and also put some on my tear duct. I took my physians formula felt tip liner and drew a medium width cat line across my lids. Then i took the purple shade from the Tarte limited edition 10 palette and lined my bottom lashes. Finally i applied MAC's mascara unto my top and bottom lashes making sure to apply enough coats to define and lengthen each lash.

I finished my look with NYX's cream blush in pink poppy and elf studio blush and bronzer, just the bronzer though. I applied the bronzer under the apples of my cheeks, the side of the temples, and my jaw line. I used NYX's stick blush in orchid on my lips and topped it off with elf studio lip gloss in ballet slippers.

I hope you all liked this look 💋

Review of Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation, MAC's Studio Fix fluid with SPF 15 and E.L.F's Small Stipple Brush

This is going to be a review on three different products I recently discovered and started using.

Maybelline Matte Mouse Foundation I want to start with the Maybelline Matte Mousse foundation. This foundation retails for $8.99. It is in mousse form and it feels more powdery then moussey or creamy. The foundation works great for oily skin types. This has really kept me matte most of the day, its amazing. I really recommend it if you have very oily skin. If you have dry skin with dry patches I do not recommend this at all. It is very matte so the foundation will cling to your dry patches and make them more visible. The coverage is medium to full. It is very long wearing and blends very well. Apparently this foundation has been around for many years but I never had the urge to try it. I am glad I did though, it's definitely one of my favorites and my main foundation now.

MAC's Studio Fix Fluid with SPF 15 Foundation This foundation retails for $17.00 at MAC. I just got this foundation but i used it a couple of times already. I used it on Sunday to go to the beach and well it didn't do so well with the heat. My face did get oily and I even used the  MAC oil control lotion underneath the foundation that day. I used it to go to work and it was good during the day but it is not a matte foundation so you will have to blot your face through out the day. Overall it is not bad at all, i have used many bad foundations. It is long wearing and smooth and blends very nicely with a brush. I would say that the coverage is light to medium. In conclusion I do recommend this product.

E.L.F's Small Stipple Brush This brush retails for only $3.00, it is super cheap and it works great. The brush is very good for blending liquid foundation. It applies very smoothly and evenly. It does not streak either and it is small enough to get into small areas in your face like under the eyes, side of your nose, eye lids, the area between the nose and mouth. Compared to the regular size stipple brush it is amazing. This brush actually works, I truly recommend this so go buy it.

New Mac Stuff

I just got back from hanging out with my friend and after a movie we went to the mall. We ended up at MAC since she needed to get a new foundation. I know i don't need another foundation but i really wanted to try mac liquid foundations. So i ended buying the Studio Fix fluid with SPF 15 shade NC 44. It matches me skin tone pretty good. It didn't come with a pump so i bought one. I think the pump is better because that way you don't end up wasting it.

Cost: $27.00 Pump Cost: $7.00

I also picked up a small size bottle of the Oil Control Lotion. Its suppose to keep you matte, we'll see. I will be trying this out tomorrow, I'm going to the beach so the SPF in it is a good thing.

Cost: $15

They also gave me two little samples of the zoom lash mascara. I will keep you all posted if like this foundation or not.
