Covergirl Haul and one glittery nail polish

Today I woke up and my seasonal allergies were bad, really bad so, i figured that after work i would stop by the pharmacy and pick up some medicine. As i planned i walked into the pharmacy with the intention of buying allergy meds and some hair gel. Of course it didn't happen that way. I ended buying some cover girl products. For some reason i don't own that many cover girl products. Actually i only have 3 covergirl products, the nature luxe foundation I got from being a buzz agent and two eyeshadow quads my hubby bought me. I did know that covergirl is one of the least expensive brands in the drugstore but honestly i don't like the quality of their eye shadows (too hard and not very pigmented). I did like their natureluxe foundation though. Anyway, covergirl was having a sale, buy one get one 50% off and of course I bought two things. I got the trublend with blendable minerals foundation in shade 5-460-classic tan, and the covergirl and olay simply ageless eye concealer in 215-light medium. In the store the tan shade looked a little dark thanks to the horrible fluorescent lights in there. I was actually going to get a lighter shade but figured ehhh i can wear it in the summer. When i got outside though i looked at it again and the shade was actually pretty close to the my skin tone. I even put a little bit on the top of my hand and blended it out. It was perfectly seamless. It blended so nice with my skin tone and it was not oily at all. I hate buying foundations that are too oily or creamy because i have very oily skin and the last thing i need is a foundation that makes it look worse.

I decided to get the concealer because i had heard from a beauty guru that it was really good. I picked a shade lighter then my skin tone. When i tried it outside though the shade seemed a little too light for me but I'll see how it looks when i actually try it on under my eyes. It blended out nicely, It starts off creamy but dries matte. The bonus is that it is blended with olay cream, hence the white ribbons.

Then i thought i should get a new nail polish. I have become addicted to them. This time i wanted to get a nice summery shade and i had picked out a sort of tangerine pastel color but ended buying a glitter nail polish by Nicole by OPI. Its from the new Kardashian kolor collection. I know its going to be super hard to get off but i think its going to look really pretty. So that was it people, that was my haul for today. I'm off to paint my nails with my new glittery nail polish. Questions: have you tried these covergirl products? if so, what did you think of them?

This is the name of the color: Rainbow in the S-Kylie

Here's the finish look, so pretty

Naked or Naked 2

My birthday was last weekend and I got $50 American express gift card from my mother in law. It was a total surprise since i got it in the mail. I immediately thought about Sephora and what type of makeup i should should buy with it. I went online researched all of the different new makeup products that had just come out. I was thinking of getting a kit with different  makeup products, like this one by Tarte:
It comes with a full size LipSurgence lip tint in enchanted, full size Amazonian clay smart mascara, a full size Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in blissful and a full size multiplEYE™ clinically-proven lash enhancing liquid liner.

Then I thought...well i don't really need another mascara, and I had already tried the Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara and i hated it, also I don't really want a blue liquid eyeliner, so that was a no. Then I thought about getting one of these two new products, i didn't know which was was better, this one:
or this one:
and then I thought, well i don't really ever use bright eye makeup and I bet i can get a better neutral eyeshadow palette that has more shades. So as i walked into my sephora (the one closest to me) I went straight for the Urban Decay display and saw this:

I knew right away that this was what I wanted. I had been hearing so much about this palette and have been meaning to buy it since Christmas time. My hubby instead of giving this one (which is what i really wanted) gave me the Urban Decay book of shadows IV. Which was still sweet since I wanted that one too, and he had also remembered how I told him I liked it. I was so excited to have it finally and not only that but the lady at the register also gave me my annual birthday gift.
For those of you that don't know, sephora has a program called beauty insider. You basically get a little plastic card that the cashier at sephora is suppose to scan every time you buy something there or you have to enter the numbers in the back in the sephora website, under your account. Every time you buy something you accumulate points, i think its $1 spend per point. Not only that but every year on your birthday they give you a special birthday present. Its usually just a deluxe sample of a product. This year they gave me a little box with two deluxe samples of Fresh lip balms. Since i had over 500 points they also gave me this:
I haven't used this yet though but i plan on it. Anyway back to the Naked 2 palette. I was really excited to try these eye shadows on so, when i got home i put some of them over the matte eye shadows i had worn that day. They looked amazing, like urban decay eye shadows usually are. The colors are all so beautiful but i was a little disappointed that they put half baked in there again, since it was already in the naked palette. Also I noticed that busted on the naked 2 palette and hustle on the naked palette are the same, exact color. Also snakebite on the naked 2 palette and smog look almost exactly alike. I don't know why urban decay did that, maybe they thought we wouldn't notice but i didn't like that at all. I like the other shades, even though they are all neutral colors they are still different from the colors in the naked palette. The palette also came with a tiny little lip gloss called naked and a double sided good karma brush. The gloss was OK but the brush really wasn't that good. These brushes separately retail for $26...yeah extremely expensive, considering that they don't pick up color well and that they don't apply color well either. The bristles are extremely stiff and way too smooth, almost like plastic. I hated them so much, please don't buy them separately. In conclusion if you don't have any of the naked palettes and want to buy one of them I would honestly recommend the first palette. I think that the colors are beautiful as they are, back when i bought it it came with a two sided 24/7 eyeliner in black and brown and a tiny primer potion. I wish they still sold it like that since i think its a much better value then a brush and a lip gloss. On the other hand, if you are an avid makeup collector and already have the naked palette then, i think you should get the naked 2. Why not...? most of the eyeshadow shades are very different from the shades in the naked palette and if you want to have two of the same shades or don't mind that at all then, for sure buy it. If you have both palettes, which one is your favorite?? and did you notice the shade similarities in the naked and naked 2 palettes too? let me know. Bye!

The start of my makeup obssesion

I am starting my first blog today and its going to be about one of the things i love most in the world: makeup. I am seriously addicted to it. It all started in 6th grade, when i began middle school. I remember looking at the older girls and wishing i could wear makeup like them. Then one day i saw one of my friends in the bathroom applying lip liner. I quickly asked her if her mom let her do that. She said she wasn't allowed but that her mom wasn't there so she would never know. Then she asked me if i wanted to try it on and of course i said yes! That was the first time i ever wore makeup. I remember meeting her almost everyday, in that same bathroom to try on some of her lip liner. A few months later, i was out with my mom at this flee market and i they were selling lip gloss in one of the stand. It was the clear type that smelled like fruit. I quickly convince my mom to buy me some. That was the first makeup product I had, that was only mine.

Bonnebell lip gloss, i use to love these

Flash forward to 9th grade (first year of high school) and i was wearing my moms makeup everyday to school. I still didn't own my own stuff and I wouldn't until I started working. As soon as i got my first job my makeup addiction began. At first i would buy the necessary things: foundation, blush, mascara, and lip gloss. Then I started buying eye shadows, those were my first addictions and then i really got into lip glosses.

This was my favorite brand when i was in high school
I use to love these lip blams/lip glosses from cover girl
I remember the b/f i had back them would buy me lip glosses as presents lol When i think about those times, i think that my makeup addiction wasn't that bad. It only got worse after i discovered that I could watch girls doing there makeup on YouTube. I quickly became obsessed with beauty channels. Subscribing to a number of beauty vloggers and watching their new post. Listening to all of their tips and watching their beautiful makeup looks. I learned a lot in a few years. So much so that last year, i decided to create my own YouTube vlog account all about makeup. I started to make videos and hauls, it was awesome. Unfortunately I started my senior year in college and i just couldn't do it anymore. I didn't have the time or the drive. I was still watching my favorite beauty gurus but I don't know...i just stopped. I haven't made a video in so many months and some of my friends and even complete strangers have asked me to continue but it just takes so much of my time and they take forever to set up. I am a working mom now and i simply don't think I have the drive or the time for them anymore. So i figured a beauty blog would be the next best thing and so here I am! I hope you all enjoy this and learn alot about makeup as I did. How did your makeup collection start? or when did you get your first makeup product?
