These are all the products I got at CVS |
I got the new L'oreal EverCreme sulfate-free cleansing conditioner. I already have the shampoo and conditioner from this line and it smells really good.
- The "EverCreme" line is suppose to be used on all dry hair types and as i posted in one of my other blogs my hair is really dry. The shampoo and conditioner are very nice they leave my hair soft and really smooth. I really like them, which is why i decided to try this product. Its a shampoo and conditioner in one but its mostly a conditioner. If i like this it will save me money on buying shampoo. On the back it says that it is "an innovative gentle way to cleanse and condition in one simple step. It has ultra concentrated conditioning power for ultimate moisture and shine. It is sulfate-free so it helps preserve hairs natural moisture. The low lathering creme thoroughly cleanses while reducing friction on the hair fiber to help minimize breakage. It contains a triple action conditioning formula, with omega-3 and 6, leaving hair soft and controlled." The directions are pretty simple basically just apply to wet hair and massage into a "low" lather, leave in for a minute or two, then just rinse it out. There is no need for a conditioner.
- I hope this conditions my hair well. I will keep you all posted if it works good for me or not.

The next item I bought is also a new product from Physicians Formula. Its called the Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Felt-Tip Eyeliner + Serum in black...WOW that is the longest name ever! LOL
- This eyeliner supposedly contains a "high tech formula that enhances the appearance of lashes while providing the bold and dramatic definition of a felt-tip eyeliner, in one easy step. The lash boosting complex applied at the base of lashes is most effective in improving lash appearance." It states that 100% of women saw enhanced lashes instantly, but then at the bottom in tiny font is says: based on individual perception of results by a panel of female volunteers wearing eyeliner and mascara. So who knows if it actually works. I will try it, if anything it will be a good eyeliner.

The other product I got is the Almay Wake Up Hydrating Makeup with SPF 13 in the color beige 050.
- When you apply this powder it gives you a cooling effect or feel but it only last about a minute or two. The powder is milled very finely and it is a sheer coverage. You can probably use this as a setting powder or alone if you want sheer coverage. I only tried it once today to blot my oil and so far I like it. I will be trying it tomorrow again though. I will keep you posted. Your suppose to apply this like any other powder foundation. It does come with a little brush that is actually not that bad.
Cost: 3.25 on sale at CVS but originally $9.74 |
I also got the Almay One Coat Get Up & Grow mascara in blackest black. Recently i have been on mission to find the perfect defining, volumizing and lengthening mascara.
- So far I have tried the urban decay curling mascara, which is pretty amazing...the best so far.
- I also tried the L'oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in black. This mascara is ok, it is a dry formula so it tends to clump a lot. It does however make your lashes thicker and a little bit longer.
- Another mascara i have tried is the E.L.F. Studio Lash Extending mascara in black. This is the total opposite of the L'oreal one, it is very wet. I need to apply about 7 coats to get semi-long lashes. It does contain little fibers to help lengthen the lashes but I find that in order for this to actually work I have to apply a couple of coats wait for that to dry then apply more coats wait for that to dry and apply again. As for the lenghtening affect, its not that great, it only lengthens a little not enough for a dramatic look.
- Another mascara I have tried is the L'oreal Voluminous Mascara in blackest black. This mascara although not as dry as the L'oreal false fiber lash one, does tend to be a little dry. It does however thicken and volumize but as far as lenghtening its not as great as the fiber lash one or the urban decay one. I do recommend it though, it does the job.
- OK so back to the Almay mascara, I decided to buy this one because Emily Noel from beauty broadcast on YouTube raves about it. She recently included it in one of her repurchased beauty products video. Its suppose to "lenghten and strengthen your lashes instantly. It has an anti-breakage pro vitamin formula that defends against damage so your lashes continue to grow long. It is clump free and is an all day wear " mascara. Its is hypoallergenic as all almay products are. It is ophthalmologist tested and its is suitable for contact lens wearers. I wear contacts so this is all good to me. I will try this out tomorrow to see how well it works and it emelynoel83is right about it.

The last product I bought is one of the L'oreal Paris HIP Studio Secrets Professional Metallic Shadow in the color Electrified 510. The shades are a taupe gold and a satin almost matte plum color. They are both pretty pigmented when I swatched them on my hand. I think I'm going to like this a lot.
Cost: $8.99 |
Well that is all I got today. I hope this information was helpful. If you have any question about a certain product or need makeup and general beauty advice just post your question here. Bye bye!!
So I tried the mascara, the powder foundation and the eyeliner yesterday. The mascara is pretty good. It lenhgtens but not a lot and it does volumize. The formula is a little dry but its not bad. I really like it. The powder foundation is also good. I used it as a setting powder on my T zone after my maybelline matte mousse foundation. Its pretty sheer, hardly any color at all. It gives you a tingly feeling for like 5 seconds after you apply it. It's ok, I wont be repushasing though. I loved the physicians formula eyeliner. It is really great. I like that the tip is wider then most felt tip pens it makes it easier to apply. Its no lie that it is water proof, I woke up today and i still had it on my lids lol so yeah def. go get that.
